Born in Englewood, New Jersey John was transplanted to Northern Indiana at the age of four. His formative years were spent as a stunt child specializing in bicycle jumps, magic, playing guitar and contemplating the "six nonlectures", Machiavelli, Jim Dine, the Stones and Jimi Hendrix (but not necessarily all at the same time or in that order). BFA received from John Herron School of Art, Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana. MFA received from Rhinehart School of Sculpture, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, Maryland. Currently residing in New York, New York.
